The Hailey family is only one of the many families discriminated against within the community. When Tonya Hailey is brutally outrage and nearly obscure by two racist men, her father, Carl Lee, instantly trys for revenge. He hides in the courthouse and when the two men be interpreted to trial he shoots and hides them. Both acts of violence were p rovoked by racism and they caused turbulency within the community. Though rape and wrap up are extreme point cases of racism, less severe cases croak everyday. In chapter 13 of our textbook Emmett Barclow states that racism is rooted recondite within our pasts and is hard to overcome.
